Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Position Summary:
Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation seeks two licensed mental health counselors to serve students of Enumclaw School District. The independent contractor role will provide school-based mental health counseling services to middle and/or high school students, including diagnostic evaluation, psychotherapy and case management services.
The therapist will provide behavioral health treatment to children and adolescents experiencing symptoms that interfere with their academic progress and social/emotional functioning in the school or home environment. Modalities include individual and group therapy. The goal of this position is to increase youth access to mental health services and improve mental health of youth living in communities within the Enumclaw School District. This position is approximately 40 hours per week and will follow the Enumclaw School District schedule.
Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation (RFWF) is a 501c3 non-profit located in Enumclaw, WA. RFWF supports health and wellbeing by mobilizing our community to address the needs of our most vulnerable population groups across the Enumclaw Plateau. Areas of service include community feeding programs, a Care Van to increase access to healthcare, youth mentorship and school-based mental health.

Insurance & Liability:
As a 1099 Independent Contractor, the selected candidate will be responsible for providing and showing proof of all necessary liability & malpractice insurance policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Primary Location:
Services to be delivered in office space provided by Enumclaw School District. One counselor will serve at Enumclaw Hight School. One counselor will split their time between Thunder Mountain and Enumclaw Middle Schools (2.5 days each, per week).
Contract Terms & Schedule:
Services to be offered throughout the 2021-2022 school year and will follow the Enumclaw School District calendar. All services to be offered within school hours.
Contract term of August 2021-June 2022 includes one month of preparation (August) with counseling services delivered September 2021-June 2022.
While initially only a 10-month contract, Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation aims to continue the in-school mental health counseling initiative into future years.
Compensation:
$60,000 for 2021-2022 school year based on terms & schedule outlined above.
