Monthly Giving
Monthly gifts are the lifeblood of our Foundation. They provide much needed, unrestricted funding enabling us to meet our community’s most pressing needs. You can set up recurring gifts electronically or send in your gifts each month.
Leadership Giving
We invite you to become part of RFWF’s Leadership Giving Circle. This special Circle consists of donors who invest $1,000 or more on an annual base to support the Foundation’s critical work.
Honorary & Memorial Gifts
Memorial gifts are a lasting remembrance and memorial of a special person who has touched our lives. Donors create these gifts as expressions of friendship, love, admiration or sympathy. These gifts may be designated to a particular area of interest or left unrestricted to meet the communities’ most urgent needs.
Pledges
Pledges are a promise to give, and the advantage is that you receive immediate recognition, but make payments over time. Pledges may be paid via credit card, automatic debit banking and, in some cases, payroll deduction.
Matching Gifts
Some companies match the donations of their employees with a corporate gift. Usually, the company provides a form to give to our Foundation at the time of your donation. We endorse and return the form, and the company sends us a matching contribution. For recognition purposes, we credit gifts to the employee unless otherwise informed. Check with your HR Department for more information.
King County Employee Giving Program
Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation is now a part of the King County Employee Giving Program. The four digit KCEGP code for Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation is 9955.
United Way Giving
United Way processes donor-directed contributions as a service to its donors. Designate all or part of your United Way Gift to RFWF on your pledge card.

Appreciated Securities
If you purchased stock that has grown in value, you may donate it to RFWF and avoid the capital gains on that increased value.
IRA Gifts
The IRS will allow you to make a donation from your IRA to RFWF without paying a penalty.
Gifts of Property
If you have property you would like to donate to RFWF, you can sell the property without paying capital gains and receive a tax deduction on the appraised value.

Planned gifts create reliable funding streams, ensuring RFWF has sustainable resources to support our mission of supporting a healthy community. Additionally, planned gifts to RFWF are a fantastic way to both demonstrate your legacy of support for a healthy community while also securing personal tax benefits for your future plans.
Estate Plan contributions are wonderful ways to support the work of the Foundation. Donors may make bequests from their estates by naming the Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation:
In partnership with Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation (RFWF), you can leave a legacy that will affect sustainable change in the lives of those we serve for years to come.
A typical planned gift is bequest language designating a gift to Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation within a will or trust. Please reference the below sample bequest language that uses our legal name Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation, Inc. and federal tax identification number 91-1192604.
I bequeath [the sum of $ ____ ] [an amount equal to ____% of the net value of my estate] [a specific asset or collection of assets such as securities, real estate, or tangible personal property] [all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate] to Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation, Inc. Backpack Food Donations
We are always accepting food donations for our weekend backpack program. Items can be dropped off at RFWF office during operating hours or can be left in the white food pantry located outside of the RFWF office during non-business hours. Suggested items include oatmeal packs, granola bars, canned soups, Mac and cheese, Top Ramen, Fruit Cups, and other non-perishable snack items. Please contact the RFWF office for a full list of suggested items.
