Supporting a Healthy Community
Our Foundation creates opportunities for individuals and organizations to come together, innovate, and collaborate to address issues that impact the health of our community and its people. We provide the venue for the innovation and collaboration and funds to support it. Our Initiatives serve as a gateway to connect individuals in the community to additional services from organizations we partner with, such as Plateau Outreach Ministries and NEXUS Youth and Family, Enumclaw Senior Center and Valley Cities Counseling.
The area we serve covers southeast King County and northeast Pierce County in Washington State, specifically the former logging, mining and farming communities of Plateau and Foothills. These communities sit at the base of Mount Rainier, approximately 45 miles southeast of Seattle and 35 miles east of Tacoma.
Volunteers – Currently RFWF embraces over 150 volunteers that support the Foundation’s Initiatives. The volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization.
Board of Trustees – Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees representing a diverse group of professionals from the surrounding communities.
Staff – Current staff includes: Executive Director (F/T), Office Managaer (P/T), Care Van Driver (P/T), Youth Substance Abuse Coordinator (F/T) and Mental Health Community Resource Coordinator (P/T).
