Jay Thomas, Executive Director

Jay has served the not-for-profit community in a variety of leadership capacities for nearly 25 years.  He has an extensive background in management, resource and program development and experience leading high-priority initiatives within organizations.  

Prior to joining the Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation as Executive Director, Jay served as Executive Director of Peace Community Center.  His previous experience also includes leadership positions with Associated Ministries, United Way of Pierce County, Bates Technical College, and the Greater Seattle YMCA.  

Jay is a proven leader with a deep history of community and civic involvement.  He is a Pierce County American Leadership Forum Senior Fellow, a former Board member of Tacoma’s City Club, Past Chair of the Association of Fundraising Professionals South Sound Chapter, and has 10 years of experience as a Rotarian.

Jay is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and holds a Masters in Non Profit Leadership from Seattle University and a Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Washington.  

A native of Tacoma, Jay is a devoted husband and father and a man of deep faith.  He currently resides in Frederickson, WA with his wife, Cornelia, and their two daughters, Jai’el and Jacelyn, and the family dog, Daisy.

Greta Huntley, Integrated Student Support Planning Coordinator

Greta joined the Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation in August 2018 as the Integrated Student Support Coordinator, leading an initiative in partnership with community middle schools. Prior to joining The Foundation, Greta spent a decade working as an elementary and middle school counselor. She also has a background in public relations and marketing, and spent several years working a full-scale, communications agency before earning her Masters in Education. She and her husband are both Washington natives and have two small children.

Amy Trachte, Mental Health Community Project Manager

Amy joined RFWF in February 2018. Her background includes teaching and  pharmaceutical sales. She is involved with Southwood Elementary School PTA and event planning with the Enumclaw Schools Foundation. Amy is currently an Enumclaw Fire Commissioner. She has two young boys who are very involved in local activities.  You can usually find Amy and her husband at the ballfield most nights of the week.
